The BRIDFAS season starts in September and finishes in June during which there are at least seven lectures, illustrated by digital slides, on a wide range of subjects such as art, architecture, music, furniture, silver, china and ceramics etc. Special functions are an annual outing in May to places of historical interest, week-end Study Days and visits to local art galleries and museums. In addition exchange visits with other NADFAS societies are sometimes organised.
BRIDFAS of Hamburg has links with several local museums and one of the aims of the society is to make donations of art objects for addition to their collection, whenever this is financially possible.
The lectures are given by carefully chosen experts and specialists in their field of interest who are mainly from the UK; all lectures are in English and are held at the DESY Auditorium, Notkestraße 85, 22607 Hamburg. The lectures start at 20:00 and doors open at 1915. There is a bar where you can purchase a glass of wine or soft drinks so why not come along early and meet other members?
